Frequently Asked Questions:

Is Daycare Right For My Dog? Dog daycare is a great option for many dogs, giving them the opportunity to play, socialise, build confidence and learn new skills. They can enjoy a day filled with enrichment, activities and companionship and many owners love seeing their dog excited to arrive and content when they return home. That said, daycare isn't the right fit for every dog. Just like people, dogs have different personalities, preferences and social needs. Some thrive in a group environment, while others are happier snoozing at home, having a dog walker etc. Our priority is always your dog's wellbeing and enjoyment. We take the time to get to know each dog as an individual and, if we feel daycare isn't the right environment for them, we will always be honest and support you in finding a more suitable option. This is why we offer a free meet and greet, followed by trial day(s) so that you have peace of mind that your dog is having the most fabulous time!

What Does A Typical Day Look Like? You can expect to see lots of fun, zoomies and smiling faces! Each day is structured and tailored to our group. This includes social walks around the field, playtime, enrichment activities, breed specific games, one-to-one time, scent work, swimming and rest periods. Activities vary with seasonal themes and our bespoke scent walls, sniffari areas and games are constantly updated to keep your dog engaged and happy!

Do You Accept All Breeds And Ages? We welcome a variety of breeds and ages. Each dog is assessed individually to ensure suitability for group daycare.

Why Do You Have Rest Time?  Daycare is an exciting environment where dogs play, socialise and make friends, and rest is just as important as activity. Breaks, rest and relaxation time help dogs recharge so they can enjoy the full day without becoming tired, over stimulated or mentally worn out. Did you know dogs need up to 12–14 hours of sleep a day (and even more for puppies)?

What Is Enrichment And Why Do We Care About It? Enrichment gives dogs opportunities to use their minds, bodies and natural instincts in positive ways. It includes activities such as scent work, breed-specific games, problem-solving challenges and interactive play. Activities are regularly changed to keep them new and engaging, helping dogs stay interested, build confidence and enjoy a more fulfilling day. Enrichment also provides an alternative to physical play, allowing dogs to enjoy calmer, rewarding activities throughout the day. This is particularly beneficial during warmer weather, helping dogs stay comfortable while still having fun and staying engaged.

Where Are You Located? And What is the Cost of Daycare? We offer complimentary collection and drop-off services throughout Putney and Wimbledon, as well as surrounding areas including Wandsworth and Roehampton. Our daycare centre is located in Woking, Surrey. To ensure dogs spend as little time travelling as possible, we keep our collection routes carefully planned and localised with less dogs per doggy bus; meaning that our collection times and are some of the lowest daycare centres offer. Daycare is £45 per day and includes collection and drop-off, a full day of fun at High Paw HQ, plus a dedicated WhatsApp group where you'll receive photos from your dog's day.

How Do I Book A Trial Day? You can book a trial day via our enquiry form, on this page, or on our contact us section. Prior to a trial day we offer a free meet and greet, either at your home or at our centre.
